Every Friday until OF NEPTUNE releases I'm giving away a signed set of OF POSEIDON and OF TRITON. These giveaways are open internationally, because I do adore my international fans. :)

I've been following you on Twitter and here on your blog, and following the progress of these books, since before OF POSEIDON even came out... Now it's almost time for book *3* and I still have yet to read one word. (sigh) I am a SAHM and we make do on one income, which makes it very difficult to indulge my book addiction, so I rely on giveaways like yours to read awesome books -- well, and my local library, but then of course they frown on patrons keeping those books on their own shelves ;-)

I really need your autograph. These books are so wonderful I've actually gone out and bought extra copies to give as gifts for my friends. One of them hated reading before I handed them Of Poseidon, and now she claims to love it. Both of us have given each other nicknames based off of this book, and have used them out in public. Hers is intoxicated walrus, because she is extremely clumsy. Mine is squishy, because apparently all humans are squishy. Yes, in case you're wondering this has caused some strange looks. Believe it or not even though I live in the U.S. I almost had to hunt down your books. I couldn't find Of Poseidon anywhere until I went to Canada to visit my relatives about a year ago. (Of course two months after I bought the book, I found a copy at my local store.) To this day I haven't seen Of Triton anywhere, but I special ordered for that book to come the day it was released, so I don't entirely mind. Even though I cherish the book copies that I do have the way a mama bear will protect her cubs, it is quite obvious that they've been read numerous times. These books have caused me sleepless nights, just thinking about them. By now I think it's obvious I'm obsessed with your books. To have one let alone two books signed by you would be better than the ability to eat all the chocolate and cheesecake in the world and not gain a pound. I am serious, that is not a hyperbole.

ReplyDeleteMy name is Jenny, and I am a writer in process (even though I'm in high school - bare with me here) mostly everyone I know and that I talk to know that I just love to write and read...especially reading; it's rare to me without a book at times. Yesterday (January 23) I went to the library in search of something to do, that's when I asked my school librarian if she could please recommend me a book. She ushered me to a cart full of new books that came in that she hasn't put out yet. New books excite me...it's like Christmas for me. My librarian and I are pretty close, you can say; the fact she lets me look at the new books is huge. While she was talking about the books, my eyes were drawn to your books, Of Poseidon. When I grabbed the book I fell in love with the cover and the choice of font and colors (I don't judge a book by its cover but this book omg) I read one random page from inside and from not reading from the beginning, I was intrigued. Ever since I was little I was always fascinated by what the sea has to offer. It's mystery story and what it wants to say. (Sorry I'm telling you this, but this does tie to your offer so bare with me please.) when I saw this book it took me back to when I went scuba diving in Honduras. Fond memories. I also love the mystery behind mermaids, that I read everything; well mostly everything that books and the web can give me of them. I always fantasize of becoming a mermaid. If I were given the chance to live again, I would live as a mermaid. When I finished reading this book (January 24 12:25 am) I cried lol reason why is because I feel so attached to this book, so when I saw that it has a sequel I cried some more lol. I have of list of my favorite authors and I have to say that you fall in at number two (Katie Kacvinsky lies first...sorry) reason why I choose you as number two is because I love how you out your heart into it - I can see it while I read it. I noticed it when how you described the character's feelings towards each other. Yeah most others do a real good job, but something about how you wrote it stuck to me, it gave me a full image in my mind, which I loved btw. I see a lot of striving authors die after doing a couple books, hopefully that doesn't happen with you. It will sadden me emotionally, please continue to write. I'll be looking forward to your other books. Also, I would be the happiest teenager ever if I get an autographed copy of this series. It will go right next to my complete works of Edgar Allen Poe and Awaken by Katie on my book shelf. Please and thank you for acknowledging my commentary.

ReplyDeleteI just adore your work, so so much. I borrowed Of Poseidon from the library about a year ago and I fell in love with your writing, your plot, and your characters. I read Of Poseidon all in one night, staying up until about two in the morning. I absolutely HAD to read the next one and when Of Triton came out, I all but begged my librarian to buy a copy. I would love to own these books more than ANYTHING, but as a student at college, most of the money I earn goes towards tuition. Even though I wouldn't trade going to college for anything, it is a bummer that I can't buy some of my favorite books to hold and read as much as I desire. I loved your books so so much, and to own them would be amazing. It was a very sad day when I had to return Of Poseidon and Of Triton to the library. It would mean the world to me if I could win these books, not to mention if they were SIGNED. My heart might explode from happiness.
Whether I win or not, thank you so so much for the opportunity to possibly win your books. I appreciate it greatly. :)

read Of Poseidon and Of Triton from the library, and now whenever I want to go back and read them, I have to wait for the library and then I have to read the icky library copies. And these are signed books. That's a HUGE bonus. @datarts3

The biggest thing that drew my attention to this series is the titles. I'm a huge fan of Greek mythology and Poseidon just happens to be my favorite. Plus I've heard it involves mermaids and not enough books do!! Thank you for this huge giveaway. :)

I would be absolutely honored to win because I love The Syrena Legacy series. I read both OF POSEIDON and OF TRITON and they are one of my favorite Young Adult/ Fantasy books that I've ever read. ReplyDeleteFirst of all I would like to say that I absolutely love your novels and can't wait to read the third instalment! I love reading. Anywhere I'm at I always have a book or two or three to read, I am never without. I have read almost every fiction book in the school's library and in the public library. When I finally found a book I hadn't read I was extremely excited! As I started reading I hooked in the first chapter. I finished the book at about one in the morning. The next day I decided to research and see if there was a second book. When I found that there was in fact a second book I asked the school librarian if she would buy it. She agreed and and I asked her everyday if it had arrived. When Of Triton finally got there I read it in every spare second of time I had. I recomended them to a friend and now we both know the books backwards, forwards, and upsidedown. I currently don't own a copy of either books and would be exstatic and honored if I were to win signed copies of both books. Thank you! Sorry it's so long:)

I would like to win this giveaway because, these books are amazing, as soon as I read the first chapter of Of Poseidon I fell in love with it. I really connected with the characters, I couldn't put it down. Then as soon as I finished the first book I immediately went back to my library for the second one Of Triton. I read it in two days. So since I don't own an copy of these books I would really love to win.

I never thought that I would find the perfect book that wold make me scream with excitement, smile with satisfaction, and jump with joy......until I read the of Poseidon series by Anna Banks.....every time I see a book by Anna Banks all I say is"Wow!!!", every time I read a book by her all I can think is "O-M-G!!!", even when I touch a book by Anna Banks all I can do is sigh because I don't have a copy of my own to read OVER and OVER and OVER again......I want to win sooooooo bad so that I can share with my friends and family how great of an author Anna Banks is......I can't tell you how excited I am about of Neptune....I know it's going to be epic.....because of course Anna Banks wrote it.......wishing you a long and successful career....because I know you'll have one....Sherlisa M.:-)
ReplyDeleteGetting signed copies of your books would be a dream come true! Well, more like a birthday wish come true since my b-day is coming up! I I'm almost finished with Of Poseidon and I can't put the book down (couldn't put it down before I was almost finished)! I have a research paper, that I haven't even worked on yet, due in two weeks and instead of working on it, you know what I'm doing? I'm reading your book and checking my local library for Of Triton! Of Poseidon hooked me before I had even finished the first 5 chapters! When Chloe died, I was so sad! So sad to where I couldn't pick up the book for a day. Never before has an author made me mourn a character that was barely introduced to readers. I haven't even finished Of Poseidon and I already can't wait for Of Neptune! Oh and I looked on your profile and saw that some of your favorite books are Graceling and Fire! I LOVE those books! Especially Fire! And I saw that you've read the Shatter Me trilogy! I just finished Ignite Me (I love Kenji! He was the only reason I read the last one)! Anyywoo,enough of my fangirling...back to business. Thank you so much, Mrs. Banks.
